Recent research suggests that long-term exposure to UVA and UVB radiation can cause serious eye damage, including macular degeneration. Sunglasses provide sunblock for the eyes.
Individuals especially at risk are those with light colored eyes, those on certain medications, and those who have had corrective surgery. Sunglasses can offer visual comfort, safety, and promote good eye health. Our physicians encourage all our patients to wear sunglasses for protection. Our sunglasses have non prescriptive lenses in them but we can add your prescription to most of our sunglass styles in either plastic lens tinted to your color choice or we can use polorizedlens for ultimate protection from glare.
